Over the July 4th long weekend, the new Contracting Intelligence Blog was launched here on WordPress.
Referencing industry luminaries such as the former U.S. Federal Government’s CIO under the Bush Administration, Karen Evans who oversaw $70 billion US in IT acquisitions, and the ever engaging, highly cerebral founder and CEO of IACCM, Tim Cummins (in fact Tim’s article titled “Contracts and Intelligence: A Powerful Combination” which was originally posted on his own Commitment Matters Blog, had the distinction of being the first post for the new CI Blog), the new blog will provide unparalleled insights into the world of contracting.
In the process, and in line with Evan’s statement that “products” (re technology), does not replace skill sets,” the CI Blog will “will strive to inform and empower both buyers and suppliers in terms of the most effective (and proven) methods for transforming how business relationships are procured , formed, structured and managed so that they might achieve the desired outcomes.”
This according to 3o year plus public sector veteran Colin Cram, will eliminate the “huge amount of added cost” in the contracting process and thus pave the way towards “delivering real value.”
Once again, I would encourage you to check out this new blog and its many features, both existing and pending, such as the RFP Creation Tool and other helpful resources.
