Editor’s Note: A recent post that I had written for LinkedIn was picked-up by Umano. For those unfamiliar with the Umano platform, it uses professional narrators to create audio versions of popular articles and posts from a wide variety of publications.
While focused predominantly on those individuals who are on the go and thus rely on their iPhone or other similar-type mobile device to access information, the audio version is still available through your desktop or notebook or whatever technology keeps you connected to the bigger world.
All this being said, I decided to share this audio version on the Procurement Insights blog because one, the narration is pretty cool and two, because it made me wonder what if any impact this has within the realms of the purchasing profession.
For example, and if you agree with these scientific studies that assert that women are better at communicating than men, does it give women an advantage at the negotiating table? How about supplier relations or assuming leadership roles within an organization?
Have a listen and tell me what you think.
